Thierry & Carole have shown -yet again- to the Arab world what real Artists can provide viewers’ souls with! How much emotions they can integrate into people’s minds & how strongly they can embrace REALITY!
Enough fairy tales! Enough Lies! Enough Hiding! A woman is merely an iconic image of Devotion, Sacrifices & most importantly, Silence, in our fake world. But this clip reveals the Truth lying beneath all that: A woman is not a senseless machine, nor an eternally crucified creature who MUST bear some idiot’s lack of self-esteem, whose instinct dominates on all types of morals and Respect! A woman can &will walk out whenever her pride gets injured. She will no longer be visualized as submissive! She will no longer be taken for granted!
Carole & Thierry have dared to step out of that painted picture, drawn by a fake society that pretends to be civilized, yet drowns in its own muddy & filthy sea of hidden truths & pretentious statements… Enough said! The idea’s clearly elaborated in the last scene…
Carole Samaha! When you take a look at that woman, you can’t help but wonder what she’s made of! I mean it’s clear to all that YES! She is multi-talented, a great voice, amazing acting skills & charming charisma. But what about the person behind all that? This rich soul, always a step ahead, fearless yet petrified, with a mind of her own, careless about the “opposition”, filtering her “rebellious” thoughts through a mercy-less community, showing people how they really feel no matter how hard they try to hide it! She does not ask for permission. She analyzes, she dives into the forbidden areas of the “culture”, she faces her own self & steps on her Heart zillions of times, then hits the crowd with the Truth! Their Truth… her own…
Along with Thierry, they seem to make a perfect combination. And when Marwan joins them, Hearts are left with an abnormal beat… too fast or inexistent!!
“Khalik Bhalak” the song, made a huge impact on all types of audiences. The theme, the contradictory structure of the lyrics, combined with the perfect simple melody, crowned with her Majestic Celestial & Emotion-ful voice, made it very hard on the listener not to be breath taken!
As for the clip, whoever said “la simplicité fait la beauté” was damn correct! Light make up, simple hairdo, ONE classy dress & accessories. Exactly what the clip required. Nothing extra, no show off, the story was the main focus this time.
On a more technical level, the warm colors of Thierry’s image, the skillfully designed storyboard, Carole’s acting!!!!!! What more could we ask for??? I suppose those “pretenders” should spare 4:42min of their precious time & indulge in that piece of Art! Those who think she should leave Thierry & come to them must show us they can compete! They should at least step out of the box, Look beyond the image & have the knowhow… WATCH & LEARN how to take advantage of a great song & an astonishing actress/singer/Woman!
Did I cry?? Who didn’t? 🙂 How can she do it? Well that’s her secret 🙂 you don’t have to be going through any sad situation in order to be saddened by the clip! I’m sorry, but she is a real professional actress, and very few, & I mean VERY FEW can beat that! You will only enjoy such type of video clips with HER cause as hard as they might try, they just can’t even be compared …
“Enough with the beauty shots, we want a story”, they protested. Were they challenging Thierry? Of God forbid, Carole??? Well if they did, I guess this FLAWLESS “short movie” will shut them up for a while 😉 and if they said it out of their longing for her acting, she surely satisfied their thirst 🙂
Finally, I will not intrude -like some might- & give remarks on the image’s technicalities since it isn’t quite my specialization. But as a viewer, I can clearly see the high standards in the frames, colors & story telling/editing. This is Thierry’s touch / signature!! We know it and we Love it 🙂
As for her voice at the end (when the credits are rolling)… W-O-W !!! Brilliant idea and unique…as usual 🙂
There must be a lot more details I could discuss, but for now, this is what I was able to collect within the storm of thoughts that has been turning in my head since last night, since I watched the clip!
