محدث بالصور- وفاة مغنية البوب الأميركية ويتني هيوستن

عثرت الشرطة الأميركية على أسطورة البوب الأميركية حاملة لقب “أفضل مغنية على مر العصور”، ويتني هيوستن، البالغة من العمر 48 عاماً ميتة بفندق في ولاية كاليفورنيا.

ونقلت شبكة “سي ان ان” الأميركية عن الناطق باسم شرطة مدينة بيفرلي هيلز، حيث قضت هيوستن، العقيد مارك روسن، قوله إن محاولات إنعاش هيوستن، باءت بالفشل، بعد أن عثر عليها حارسها الشخصي مغشى عليها بالفندق.

وقد أعلنت وفاتها أمس السبت عند الساعة 15:55 بالتوقيت المحلي، عشية حفل جوائز الغرامي.

وأوضح روسن أن أسباب الوفاة قيد التحقيق، علماً أن المغنية عانت لسنوات من مشاكل الإدمان.

وكانت ويتني، التي اكتشفت مواهبها الغنائية في سن مبكرة، قد أحيت حفلاً مساء الخميس، كمقدمة للحفل السنوي الـ54 لجوائز الغرامي.

وبحسب الموقع الرسمي لنجمة البوب الأميركية، فقد بيع أكثر من 170 مليون ألبوم، وأغنية فردية وفيديو لهيوستن، التي أصبحت واحدة من أبرز المغنيات على مر العصور، ونالت العديد من جوائز “ايمي” و”بيلبورد”، و”غرامي”.

ويعتبر فيلم “الحارس الشخصي “” Body Guard، الذي لعبت فيه دور البطولة إلى جانب النجم كيفن كوستنر من أشهر أفلامها، وفازت الموسيقى التصويرية لهذا الفيلم بجائزة “غرامي” لأفضل ألبوم غنائي في العام 1994.

واكتشفت موهبة هيوستن على يد المنتج الغنائي المشهور كلايف ديفيس بعد استماعه لفقرة غنائية لها في ملهي ليلي بمدينة نيويورك، وقام برعايتها طيلة مسيرتها الفنية الممتدة لأكثر من 25 عاماً.

وتعززت مكانة هيوستن في ساحة الغناء الأميركية بعد أدائها النشيد الوطني في حفل “سوبر بول” عام 1991، بعد اندلاع حرب الخليج الأولى.

وفي عام 2000، حازت هيوستن على سادس جائزة “غرامي” كأفضل مغنية لموسيقى “آر اند بي” R&B، وبعدها بشهر حملت لقب أفضل مغنية على مر العصور في جائزة “سول ترين” الموسيقية.

وتعثرت مسيراتها الفنية لفترة من الوقت مع دخولها لمراكز تأهيل لعلاج مشاكل الإدمان.

وعام 2009، أطلقت ألبوم” I Look to You”، الأول بعد غياب استمر سبع سنوات.

وفي مايو/أيار الماضي عانت مجدداً من انتكاسة إدمان الكحول والمخدرات.

يذكر أن هيوستن كانت متزوجة من المغني بوبي براون ولهما ابنة. بحسب ما ورد في “يو بي اي”.
